The 24th and more....

Now that I am officially done with my absolute LAST summer semester EVER (woot woot)- I can take a moment and catch up..... My camera hasn't (unfortunately) been a fixed accessory for me this summer- instead, my stethoscope and otoscope have been. However, big occasions call for its appearance. Like the Pioneer Day celebration in Hinckley

Grandma Marlene dominates at picking up candy! Russ and Colby come in a close 2nd and 3rd...

Lil Miss did not want to put her candy in the bag- she wanted to keep it in her arms and shove it in her mouth- wrapper and all...

Dax got to ride in the parade with Grandpa Dale- He thought that was pretty cool.

Grandma and girls- I love this pic!

It is starting to become tradition for all the great-grandkids to ride Grandpa Dale's horse after the parade. They all love it! Even I joined in the fun.

I am loving the weather lately- magical rainstorms and breath-taking sunsets....Millie keeps saying, "Hear that? Hear that thunder?" Even if the skies are blue!

Right now, we are enjoying the "wimpics" (as the little one says it) or in other words- the Olympics. I love to watch gymnastics and volleyball- Colby just loves it all- and Hayden's favorite is "the boys jumping in the water" (the diving and synchronized diving). She gets super mad when it goes to commercial when they are on- it's pretty funny!

Here are some of the fun Instagram photos from the summer....

Also- in June- Colby and I went on a mini getaway to Salt Lake- we went and ate at The Roof, toured Temple Square, did sealings at the Draper Temple, and shopped at City Creek. It was nice to have a moment to ourselves and are grateful to our parent's who are always willing to babysit so we can get out!

This summer has been crazy busy but we have still been able to have some fun! Some great news from this summer- Colby passed his LPT exam (which is kinda like the LPN for nurses)! So he gets to start working PRN in the radiology department as soon as his license shows up. He has started his clinicals for fall semester already but we're looking forward to getting this next school year over with. Although we still have a while till Colby is completely done with school, if we can make it through this next year we will be happy! Between both of us having clinicals several days a week, working part-time, school work, church callings, and being parents, this year is destined to FLY by! We remain optimistic that our sanity will be intact come May 2013........we are just glad that Millie is too young to remember the chaos! We love where we are at in life and have no regrets about the decisions we have made to finish our educations despite the poverty that associates it! Haha- With that being said- we SOOOO look forward to the day that we can have some normalcy!
Here's to facing fall head on......
