Yay for Christmas!!!

Well this is the first year since Colby and I have been married, that we get to have a REAL LIVE CHRISTMAS TREE!! I was so excited! Colby went up Thanksgiving morning with his dad and bro-in-law Ronnie to slay a couple trees. Of course, Colby had to find the best tree on the whole entire mountain!!! Needless to say, the tree does look beautiful despite my horrible decorating skills. I know there is a certain way that you are suppose to string the lights on a tree, but I didn't pay any attention to that!!!

Colby finally felt just ONE kick on Saturday night! He was so excited. He keeps trying to be able to feel her since and she just keeps playing hide-and-seek with him! But soon enough, we won't be able to get her to stop kicking!!!
21 1/2 weeks!!!
(I don't know how much farther the belly can stretch!!)
Colby is almost done with this semester at school (thank goodness). We are both excited for the 3 week break!! Next semester he has a pretty tough load again but he can do it!!!

Exciting News!!!

Since I am a fabulous blogger- we have had alot of exciting stuff happen since my last post!

First off- I wasn't able to get a job close to Delta but gratefully got hired at Dixie Regional Medical Center as an orthopedic nurse on the 4th floor. I really like working in St. George again! The people I work with are fabulous and really like the patient care.

Just a couple weeks into working there- we found out we were EXPECTING our FIRST little one! I am a nerd and on the first prego test we took I thought it said negative. So we went camping for the weekend with friends totally bummed about the result (but not bummed to be getting out). Then Sunday morning we took another test and it was a definite POSITIVE!! Let's just say that keeping it a secret for a few weeks was so absolutely HARD!!! But once I started getting sick, I had to let it out! It was fun being able to tell our families.

Then came decision time- with me working in St. George and living in Cedar- colby decided it was time to give his two weeks notice and move back in with me so that we could have our little family. He has always wanted to go back to school and we decided that this was the PRIME opportunity. He jumped right into fall semester and is completing his pre-requisit courses to become a RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN. He went back to work with his old boss and bro-in-law working part-time as an apprentice electrician. School has been a battle but he is getting the hang of things and I am so proud of his decision to get a degree and better our situation for our family.

So he moved into my dungeon of an apartment. It didn't take both of us living there for long to decide that it just wasn't going to do for our growing family! After about a month of looking and a couple months of counter-offers. We were able to move into our house on October 7th thanx to the help of my wonderful dad who brought down the truck and horse-trailer to help us out! Thanx DAD!!!

But now for the most EXCITING NEWS OF ALL!!! We were able to have our BIG ULTRASOUND on Tuesday. We were able to see our little one on the ultrasound and in 3D. It was so fun to see. We found out that we are expecting a LITTLE GIRL!! Her name will be HAYDEN MILLIE BLISS. She was shy and wouldn't let us get a picture of her little face- however, she wasn't shy about showing us that she is for sure a little girl!

It was so fun and we are so excited to officially meet her around April 17th, 2010. She already has her dad wrapped around her little finger!!!

Someday I'll become good at blogging!

Colby and I got to go to Vegas in June where I took my DREADED NCLEX test. We decided to make a weekend outof it because it was also our TWO YEAR anniversary trip. So we stayed at the Stratusphere, went to American Superstars, ate tons of food and got to hang out with one of Colby's mission buddies.
A few days later I found out that I passed my test and became an official Registered Nurse. I thought the day would never come!

Here we are exhausted after walking up and down the strip seeing all the lovely sights Vegas has to offer! Ha Ha!

Clinical's Adventure!

So I am so not very good at this whole blogging business! I took these pictures back in February when Carolyn, Karen, and I went to Utah Valley to do clinicals. Here's the story behind our situation! So we only were able to do night shift clinical (which I prefer anyways) and our preceptors let us leave at three in the morning! So we were debating what to do about our sleeping situation (we are all tight with our money)! If we would have checked into a motel- we wouldn't have been checked out in time and would have had to pay for another stay.
So we came up with a bright idea for the first night- sleeping in the back of the Nissan!!!

Luckily the back seat of Carolyn's car folds down so the three of us got to snuggle up nice and close!! Because it was the middle of February in Orem, Utah, it was still pretty cold out and our sleeping breath fogged up the windows (even the head lights- I don't know how that happened) ha ha! People were probably wondering what was going on in there!
We ended up staying the next night at one of Carolyn's mission companion's home. She saved us! We had quite the adventure!
Ya gotta love nursing school!!

Catch Up!!

So here I am doing my once-in-a-blue-moon blog! I really need to get some photos uploaded onto my computer. There are some pretty funny ones! (Karen and Carolyn know what I mean!!) Colby and I have not bee up to much! I graduate from SUU on May 2nd (34 days not that I'm counting) and we are super excited to get a start on our life! I have no idea what I am doing for a job yet since this blasted economy is sending so many women back into the workforce not many nursing jobs are open!! Colby's job is secure at least until the end of the year so we are very grateful for that! Last weekend we got the opportunity to sit thru 4 1/2 hours of a Sportsmans Banquet up in Delta and let me tell you- thats just what I wanted to be doing on a perfectly wonderful Saturday night! No I'm just kidding~ it made him super happy to be able to show his AMAZING deer off and look at all the many things we can't afford!

Here is Colby's deer all strapped in! Heaven forbid if we wreck having that get hurt!!!
It's a back pic cause it's from my cell phone!

Colby's deer all stuffed!!!
